Cylinder extruder screens can be made of single or multi-layer cylindrical screens, available in spot welded edges or aluminum alloy frame edges. It can be made of different materials, including stainless steel, galvanized or low carbon steel wire mesh. Compared with the screen disc, the cylindrical extruder screen provides a larger filtering surface area because the material can surround the entire column, and the amount of filterable material is several times that of the screen disc.
Cylindrical extruder screens are widely used in different applications, mainly for plastic and rubber extrusion processes. Application
